# MISSIN API

> The MISSIN API is the GraphQL graph the MISSIN app runs on, reached with an API key that reads one workspace and acts as the member who created it.

The MISSIN API is the same GraphQL graph the MISSIN app uses: the same data and the same rules, reached with an API key instead of a login. A key belongs to one workspace, only ever reads that workspace's data, and acts as the member who created it.

A key can run every operation in the [API reference](https://developer.missin.co.uk/reference.md): read records such as [campaigns](https://docs.missin.co.uk/help/campaigns/campaigns.md) and [partners](https://docs.missin.co.uk/help/partners/partners-and-posts.md), and, with Write or Admin access, change them. Anything the reference does not list refuses keys. The same keys connect an AI assistant to the [MISSIN MCP server](https://developer.missin.co.uk/mcp/connect-claude.md).

Keys are created in the MISSIN app, under Settings > Developers (https://app.missin.co.uk/settings/developers).

- [Authentication](https://developer.missin.co.uk/get-started/authentication.md): Sending a key, the two kinds of key, access levels and rate limits.
- [Making requests](https://developer.missin.co.uk/get-started/making-requests.md): The endpoint, persisted operations and what a key can run.
- [Errors](https://developer.missin.co.uk/get-started/errors.md): Refused keys, refused operations, limits and userErrors.
- [Connect Claude](https://developer.missin.co.uk/mcp/connect-claude.md): Add the MISSIN MCP server to Claude Code, with a Read or Write key.
